The Pass az104 exam engine part-way through a session: an AZ-104 scenario question with four answer options, the question navigator beside it, and the position marked as question 9 of 30.

Most AZ-104 practice tests
are nothing like the real exam.
This one is.

What you practice on

Clean questions with one obviously right answer. You score 90% and book the exam.

What you actually face

A realistic scenario, then four answers that all look defensible — until an edge case you either know or don't decides it.

Everything you need to train for AZ-104.

Questions that fight back

Every question is written at the difficulty of the real exam — including the edge cases that decide who passes. If a question feels easy, it's because you know it.

An unanswered AZ-104 question in the exam engine: an Application Gateway scenario that has to publish a second site on a separate public IP, with four answers that all read as plausible.

An explanation behind every answer

Every question comes with a written explanation: why the correct answer is correct, and why each of the others is wrong. Getting one wrong is where the studying happens.

A wrong answer revealed in the exam engine: the picked option marked red, the correct one green, and an explanation below it saying why each of the other three options fails.

Train one domain at a time

Pick a single domain, or any combination. That's what makes this useful from day one of studying, not just the week before the exam — you take the material one domain at a time instead of all at once. Domain-targeted exams come with Pro; the free plan runs the full blueprint.

The exam builder with "By domain" chosen and three of the domains selected — identity and governance, storage and networking — plus the exam length and answer mode.

Know exactly where you stand

Per-domain statistics that show how your preparation is actually going, so the decision to book the exam stops being a guess.

A finished exam scored 733 out of 1000 against a pass mark of 700, with a per-domain breakdown underneath: strong in identity and storage, 50% in networking.

A retake costs more
than a subscription.

Taking AZ-104 again means paying the exam fee twice, and rebuilding weeks of preparation you'd already done once. The expensive part isn't the tool. It's the weeks you lose, and the job you haven't started yet.

Questions about the questions.

How many questions are there?

Over 600, across all five exam domains. Every plan draws from the same bank: a free exam takes 10 of them, and Pro takes up to 50 at a time, aimed at the domains you choose.

Is the free plan a trial?

No. It's a plan, and it doesn't expire. You get one full-blueprint exam of 10 questions a day, drawn from the same question bank as Pro, with the same explanations and the same statistics. The daily exam resets at 00:00 UTC. Pro removes the daily limit, takes exams up to 50 questions, and lets you aim them at the domains you keep failing.

Do I need a card to sign up?

Not for the free plan. There's no password either — you enter your email, we send a link and a 6-digit code, and signing in for the first time creates the account.

What happens if I cancel Pro?

You stay on Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, then move back to the free plan. Every exam you've taken, and every explanation in it, stays readable. Only creating new exams is ever limited.

Do I need to have studied already?

No. Because you can train one domain at a time, this works from the start of your preparation: study a domain, test yourself on it here, then move to the next. It doesn't have to wait until you're nearly ready to book.

How is this different from Microsoft's official practice assessment?

The official assessment checks that you've learned the concepts. These questions are written at the difficulty of the real exam, edge cases included.

Is this affiliated with Microsoft?

No. Pass az104 is an independent study tool. It isn't endorsed by, sponsored by or affiliated with Microsoft. AZ-104 and Azure are Microsoft trademarks, referenced here only to describe what the tool prepares you for.
